Design and Build

 

It would be an understatement to conclude that the OnePlus 9 architecture is familiar. The OnePlus 9 shares its architecture with the OnePlus 8T for the most part, except for the revamped camera module on the rear. It reminds us of the OnePlus 7, which, like its immediate predecessor, the OnePlus 6T, had a hand-me-down design.

User Interface and Performance

OxygenOS from OnePlus has come a long way. The UI in version 11 has been tweaked to accommodate large displays. Many of the built-in applications and settings screens have buttons and tabs in the middle and lower thirds of the phone, making them easier to access with one hand.

One new feature of Oxygen OS on the 9 Pro is that it runs in the background. Turbo Boost 3.0 uses a combination of RAM compression and Virtual RAM to allow you to run up to 25% more apps in the background. When the main modules are complete, virtual RAM sets aside a limited amount of storage to be used as RAM temporarily.

Camera Quality
